Pastor Dave Trepanier
Dave Trepanier has been pastor of First Baptist Church since May 2012. A native of Massachusetts, he graduated from Northland International University in 2005. While at Northland, Dave met Keara, whom he married during his senior year of college. Dave and Keara have three children: Nora (8 yr), Judah (7 yr) and Colette (4 yr). Shortly after college, Dave and Keara spent a year on the island of Saint Vincent in the British West Indies teaching theology, Bible, Greek, and music classes at the Baptist Bible College of the Caribbean. Following this mission trip, they moved to Southern California to attend The Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, CA. After graduating, Dave became assistant pastor of Santa Clarita Baptist Church for two years until accepting the call to pastor First Baptist Church. He currently is pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree in New Testament Exposition from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dave has a passion for God's Word and practical Christian living. Being from Massachusetts, he is an avid Boston sports fan. He still enjoys playing soccer whenever he gets the chance, as well as his family, traveling, sports, reading, mud runs, and a good coffee shop.
Andy’s family has been a part of First Baptist for generations, and growing up in the church has given him a unique perspective on where we have come from as a body. After being discipled in the church, he went for 2 years to The Word of Life Bible Institute to study God’s Word in depth, and to see how God might want to use him in ministry. In his time there he was involved in a mission trip to the Philippines and South Korea, leading a Good News Club, and 2 summers of counseling at Word of Life’s youth camp in Owen Sound, Ontario. After experiencing the many ways God is moving around the world, his desire is to see our local church body experiencing true gospel growth. While at Word of Life, Andy met his wife, Trish, originally from Lancaster, PA. They were married the year following Word of Life, served a summer on staff at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, and then went on to Practical Bible College (now Davis College) in Johnson City, NY so he could finish a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Education. Following graduation in 1998, they came back to First Baptist as interns to help with the transition between pastors. They were on staff for 15 months, mostly involved with leading the youth ministry, while squeezing a month long mission trip to Brazil. During this time God led him to part time employment at Carbinite Metal Coatings, where he is now the operations manager. When Andy is not managing at work or managing his dad’s farm, you will find him on the softball field or volleyball court, supporting the many activities of his wife and children, reading a good book or chopping firewood. Andy and Trish have 3 children, Caleb, Lily and Moriah, and seek as a family to serve and honor God in every aspect of their lives. He is excited to see what God is doing, and will continue to do in the body of First Baptist Church.
Jeff Aronsohn is relatively new to Western Pennsylvania, having moved to the area in 2014 with his wife Evelyn. After his dental education he served in the US Navy and now is retired from 35 years of private dental practice. Jeff assisted federal, state, and local law enforcement as a forensic dentist. Some of his hobbies include fly fishing and amateur (ham) radio.
Jeff, a Jewish-background believer, came to Christ in 1976 while in graduate school. Zeal for God’s Word and missions have kept him busy while retired. He serves on the board of directors at Advancing Native Missions (Charlottesville, Virginia), and works closely with the ministry mPower Approach (Louisville, Kentucky), which provides indigenous Christian organizations with medical/dental training. Because of his affiliation with these ministries, Jeff has had the joy of seeing first-hand how the Lord is growing His Church around the world.
Drawn first to the area by family and then impressed by the local body of Christ and the ministry leadership at FBCEC, Jeff and Evelyn immediately began fellowship upon relocating to the Pittsburgh area. The Aronsohns have found the church to be a community of believers committed to one another and the teaching of God’s Word. Opportunities to worship our Lord through service abound within this church family. FBCEC displays a heart toward missions, locally and abroad, as well as to one another.
